An Opportunity Checking Account serves members who have a more colorful history with other checking accounts and allows the member to convert to a different checking account type once their checking account history has been cleaned up. In order to become a member, you are required to have a <a href="https://riverwaysfcu.org/Savings/Savings-Accounts/Gateway-Savings" target="_blank">Gateways Savings account</a> – a super simple savings account with a $5 minimum. This account is your Gateway to all that Riverways Federal Credit Union has to offer. It establishes your ownership and opens you up to all of the many perks of credit union Membership. Once you join the credit union, you remain a Member for life, even if you move, change jobs or retire. When your application is approved, we will automatically create your membership and provision a Gateways Savings account for you.
